1. My long-awaited reunion with Originals
If you are a fashion lover who grew up watching the Trefoil logo like me, then you must understand the excitement it brings. It is not only a logo of adidas, but also a cultural memory of retro, street and free expression.
So, when I saw in the news that adidas Originals announced the launch of its exclusive golf series, my heartbeat really quickened. This is not a simple crossover, but a dialogue between style and tradition, a “two-way rush” between fashion and golf.
2. Originals Golf is back, and it’s more sophisticated than I thought
In today’s retro style, street culture has quietly entered the golf course. The appearance of adidas Originals Golf is like a ceremonial declaration: style does not need to give way, sports can be fashionable.
From men’s to women’s, from classic shoes to accessories, every detail shows adidas’ serious attitude towards “paying tribute to tradition”. As creative director Dylan Moore said, “We were inspired by the way fashion was promoted on the court in the 70s and 80s”, and I can also feel the long-lost “old soul” from those designs.
3. The Originals Golf item I want to buy the most
Shoes: COURSECUP is a dream for retro lovers
Let’s talk about shoes first. COURSECUP, a brand new shoe inspired by the 1986 GOLD CUP, immediately caught my eye. The leather upper, the spikeless outsole, and the detachable kiltie decoration, once you step on the green, it’s like stepping on the elegance in the old movie.
Of course, there are also Gazelle Golf, Stan Smith Golf, and Samba Golf, each of which pays tribute to the classics. More importantly, they are not only good-looking, but also made for golf. They are comfortable to wear, have stable grip, and are even more reliable than the professional models I bought before.

Clothing: A paradise for those who love details
The men’s knitted Polo, with its low-key diamond jacquard pattern, is not at all ostentatious, but every time I swing, someone will ask, “Where did you buy this?” I especially like the Polo from the Originals Archive series, which has a luster that has been baptized by time. Plus the plaid pants with three-stripe stitching – yes, old-fashioned trouser stitching can now become a new fashion.
The women’s clothing is also eye-catching. For example, the printed clover polo shirt, cashmere knitted sweater, and matching sleeveless dress are designed to be comfortable during exercise while maintaining sufficient visual impact. I once thought it was more attractive than the golf line of many fashion brands.

Accessories: The fairway can also be equipped with every detail
Besides the hat, socks and belt, my favorite is the Originals Golf Boston bag. It is sturdy and stylish, and the three-leaf clover logo is especially photogenic in the dim sunlight. I am even looking forward to using it as a background prop for the golf course photography this year.
4. This is not only a product, but also an echo of style
Originals Golf gives me the feeling that it is not just “a new style”, but a re-weaving of adidas’s style accumulation over the years into the old-school sport of golf. They did not force “younger” but elegantly said: “We have always been here and have never left.”
As Shaun Madigan, global apparel director of adidas, said: “We use tradition as our muse”, I think this is exactly what Originals is based on. It is both retro and modern, professional and bold.
5. Originals is an attitude
I have already ordered the first batch of Originals Golf equipment and will test it out at the Spring Open next month. It is not for sensationalism, but to use it to tell a little bit of my own story – about the love of sports, about style expression, and about those golden years that can never be returned but can be worn on the body.
You may ask: Who would wear Gazelle to play golf?
My answer is: I would. And I would love to be that person who “dresses differently”.
So, what about you?
